INTRODUCING RUIN LUST

This look was inspired by erosion. I began looking into rust, which led me to explore the idea of corroding chains. To create the effect of chains, I took a burnt orange wool and began to knit.

 

Using 3  different techniques, I intertwined the burnt orange with a cool grey. I furthered the concept of erosion by adding torn netting to lower areas of the garment, conveying the process of oxidisation.

 

The knitting of the garment took 1 week to complete.

 

The garment was finalised 2 weeks later.
